I hope everyone has had a great week. I just spent the morning picking fresh berries that I grow around my place… organic and pesticide free of course.

I have to get out there early when they come in season if I want to beat the forest raccoons to the harvest. 🙂 Always fun to fight with but I work around them.

Here is a picture of the fresh strawberries I just picked this morning.

Speaking of this, it is well to share that the fruits of summer, especially red grapes and berries like blue berries, blackberries, raspberries, and even cherries, provide a huge boost to your immune system and also help with skin health.

The fiber they provide supports the digestive tract as well, keeping things moving along and skin problem causing yeast like candida under control.

They are naturally low in sugar and high in vitamins and minerals your skin needs, like C, A, zinc and magnesium. If you can find them fresh or organically grown even better! Adding them to your diet can work wonders for your skin.

There is a wonderful and complete list of all the summer berries and what nutrition they provide at Berrywise.com You can read this list at the following link below:

I hope you enjoyed the official start to the summer season. Let’s make it a healthy one!
